Who we are

Remi and Florence Bakehouse started when Kim decided to make her oldest daughter’s 2nd birthday cake. It was a medley of baby shark, pastels and you’ll never guess… the main character Shaun the Sheep. She enjoyed the creative process so much and the guests at the party approached her to make cakes for them too. A passion for creating intricate, detailed and delicious sweet treats drove Kim to create stunning creations for those she loved most. The business then grew organically via word of mouth and Instagram to what it is today. A question that Kim gets often is where did the name come from? Well, Remi and Florence are her daughters middle names, a reminder of how she started and why she keeps going.

Meet the Baker

Kim has a true passion for not only creating delicious desserts and serving her loyal customers. As a young mum, Kim balances her time between mum life and sharing her passion for baking from her home commercial kitchen. Kim has an amazing drive when it comes to her business which has drawn a loving and loyal community of cookie lovers. Not only does she share the love in giving back to her loyal customers, but she genuinely loves giving back to her wider community also. She shares her delicious desserts far and wide through donating to fundraisers for numerous charities. In 2024, Remi and Florence Bakehouse was lucky enough to raise over $10,000 for Endometriosis research and they proudly support the Good Friday Appeal with thousands donated and counting. It is not lost on Kim that she could not do this without all of her amazing customers, and is eternally grateful to be able to call this her job everyday.
